Jeannie White of Under A Prairie Moon is a mixed media / folk artist who, in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, has augmented her business to providing health & wellness through her creation of handmade face coverings.
She uses premium, colorful fabrics and ultra premium cotton for the lining for comfort against the face. Prints are numerous; many are favorite repeats from the past few months. Styles of mask include pleated masks with traditional string ties, elastic ear bands and elastic head bands with either a filter pocket or non-woven pelon liner.
The artist still lives within her. Leather cross body hand bags, mixed media fishing art on canvas, western themed subjects, Route 66 retro motels, flowers and horses are in the works. These future art pieces are on her workbench and paint table on a 100 acre ranch she shares with a housemate, 3 horses, 2 dogs, and 3 cats near Tuolumne, California.
